for schools

In 2022, The Crew’s Crew Foundation set in motion it’s very first grief counseling initiative at Indianapolis Public Schools in partnership with Brooke’s Place.

After completing the Brooke’s Place “BP8” programming, School Counselors and Social Workers are not only uniquely trained & equipped to support students who have lost a sibling, parent, or family member but also are equipped to train others within their school system.

The Crew’s Crew Foundation is proud to say that due to this initiative, Brooke’s Place saw an 87% increase in individuals & families served in their BP8 Grief Support Group Enrollments in 2022 and the decision was made to accelerate the expansion of BP8 programming to other Central Indiana K12 schools.   With the continued support from The Crew’s Crew Foundation, Brooke’s Place delivered 33 BP8 programs in 2023, the highest number of programs delivered annually to date by the organization.

Are you a School Leader interested in learning more about this no-cost opportunity to train your Social Workers and Counselors? If so, please reach out to The Crew’s Crew Foundation here.

"Brooke's Place is so fortunate to have benefitted from the tremendous support of The Crew's Crew Foundation. Through the Foundation's financial support of the BP8 Outreach program, Brooke's Place is serving hundreds of grieving children in schools throughout Central Indiana. These children who have experienced the death of a loved one are learning that it's OK to grieve, and that they can feel loved, safe, and supported in their grief journey. We are beyond grateful to The Crew's Crew Foundation for their partnership and support!"
